Our story began in 1946, when a small group of orchard farmers found they could not get the loans they needed from the bank. With 14 original members and no office, we were incorporated on April 29, 1946. We’ve definitely come a long way since the end of 1946, when we had only 33 members and $205 in assets. We now include SASCU Wealth Incorporated, which has been part of the financial planning industry since 1998, and SASCU Insurance which began operation in 2008 and now includes a second location in Enderby. We are owned by nearly 20,000 members who are also our customers. With assets of over $900 million under administration, we’re proud to be among the top-rated credit unions in all of Canada.
