Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to perform our hauling operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting roll off bins safely and efficiently while adhering to
all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle various types of freight.
Duties
- Operate commercial vehicles to transport bins to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding routes, delays, or issues encountered during transportation.
- Adhere to all regulations regarding transportation and safety.
- Perform basic maintenance on vehicles as needed, including minor automotive repairs.
- Transport the roll off truck to the shop for larger repairs as needed.
- Operate heavy equipment such as skid steer when necessary for loading or unloading material.
Experience
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is required. Class 3 with air endorsement.
- Previous experience in commercial driving is required.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus.
- Knowledge of basic automotive repair is strongly preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
