Manual Machinist– Mt Ida Machine and Welding Ltd

4121 45th Street SE, Salmon Arm, BC – $27.50–$39.00 an hour – Full-time

Duties:
– Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments
– Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to determine machining operations
– Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment
– Use precision measuring instruments to check work for accuracy and quality
– Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop and improve manufacturing processes
– Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment

Requirements:
– Proficiency in using manual machinery lathes, drills, mills
– Ability to fabricate parts using various materials
– Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
– Hydraulic Cylinder Repair Experience a bonus
